Before your first application

Read the full directions, ingredient list and cautions. Different serums have different application schedules and permitted application areas.

  1. Start clean.

Wash your hands and keep your applicator clean. Prepare the application area according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  2. Follow the exact directions.

Use only the amount and application area stated on the product label. Do not assume a serum labeled for lashes can also be applied to brows.

  3. Match the schedule to the product.

Qualash’s published directions describe evening use; The Ordinary describes morning and evening use. Follow your own bottle’s current instructions.

  4. Keep it personal.

Do not share eye cosmetics or applicators. Close the container after use and follow the storage instructions.

  5. Know when to pause.

Stop using a product if it causes irritation. The FDA advises seeing a doctor if irritation persists and avoiding eye cosmetics during an eye infection or when the surrounding skin is inflamed.

Small details that help.

What if I forget an application?

Check the manufacturer’s instructions for missed use. Do not assume a larger amount or an extra application is appropriate.

Can I use one applicator for different products?

Keep the applicator with its intended product and follow the manufacturer’s directions. Do not share eye cosmetics.

Should my routine include progress photos?

That is optional. If you keep a record, use consistent lighting, angle and makeup status. A personal record is not a controlled test.

Where do I find product-specific instructions?

Use the label supplied with your bottle and the exact product’s official store page. Similar names or packaging do not establish identical directions.
